Med., 1972, 108 (1), 95-96 A mixed human serum containing Australia (Au) antigen was fractionated by a discontinuous sucrose gradient centrifugation. When Au antigen in each fraction was assayed by radioimmunoassay (RIA) and immunoelectrosyneresis (IES), the peaks in titer of both assay systems appeared in different fraction. The RIA peak fraction contained spherical particles with dense core and tubular forms. -hepatitis B; Australia antigen; radio immunoassay

Application of radioimmunoassay technique for determination of antigen concentration in different cells with a new monoclonal antibody [Persian]
Introduction: Binding a monoclonal antibody to tumor associated antigens is an effective method for cancer therapy because these agents can specifically target malignant cells, in fact monoclonal antibodies are effective agents for diagnosis, grading and treatment of different kinds of cancers. Methods: In this research, a new monoclonal antibody against colon cancer cells was prepared an...

Med., 1973, 109 (3), 307-308 Ninety-eight serum specimens obtained from 53 cases of hepatitis in children and 11 specimens from 10 cases of biliary atresia were tested for Australia (Au) antigen by radioimmunoassay (RIA) . Au antigen was detecte...
متن کاملEvaluation of a solid phase radioimmunoassay (Ausria-125) for the detection of hepatitis B antigen (Australia antigen) in two clinical materials.
A solid-phase radioimmunoassay (Ausria-125) was compared to an immunoelectro-osmophoresis method in detecting hepatitis-B antigen (HBAg). The radioimmunoassay detected HBAg in approximately 230 times higher dilutions than the immunoelectroosmophoresis method. In cases of acute hepatitis HBAg could be detected for about 70% longer after the onset of jaundice using radioimmunoassay compared with ...
متن کاملDetection of Australia antigen by radioimmunoassay.
A double-antibody radioimmunoassay has been developed for the detection of Australia antigen and antibodies to Australia antigen in human sera. The assay is simple to perform, and can be completed in 18 hr. Based on parallel studies of human sera, it is approximately 2000 times more sensitive than agar gel diffusion and 200 times more sensitive than quantitative complement fixation. Australia a...
متن کاملLatex agglutination test for detection of Australia antigen (HB-Ag) among blood donors and patients.
The application of the latex test for the detection of Australia antigen (Au-Ag) was investigated. Reagents from two commercial sources were compared with the electrophoresis method with regard to sensitivity and specificity using samples from blood donors, hospital patients, and plasma fractions. Discordant results were further investigated by electron microscopy and radioimmunoassay. Differen...
